Bed Bath N' Table
We needed a new quilt cover for winter and I found this! Nathan wanted something plain and I wanted something with animals on it so I thought this would suit us both, plus it was on sale!

Gorgeous colours from Nars.
The Sugar Hit
You have no idea how much I love beetroot, and I found this recipe on my new favourite blog.
I think I would change the cheddar to goats cheese, as it goes so well with beetroot!
The Sugar Hit
Another excellent recipe that I have to make ASAP!
That's all for this week. Have a wonderful weekend.

Daily Instax April 9 - 22

Let's see how many photos there are of pets this week...
Vegie hot dog + Noah isolated so he can eat his special food from the vet
A care package for the pets from my brothers fiancee + Noah happy and coneless <3
Easter decor + a gift from my sister in-law for babysitting her kids - it spins!
Trying (failing) to get a urine sample from Noah (litter tray filled with straws) + Violet loves to sit like this
The ferris wheel at the Easter Show + an apple pie for dessert :-)
Nathan gave me my Easter present early (I've been asking for a Whitman's Sampler forever haha)
+ Easter lunch with my Mum - I ate so much pasta
My husband is an egg farmer, and we had to label all of these cartons! + Peach high on nip on the giant cat tower
The last two weeks have been really nice. It was nice to have my husband home a bit more over the Easter long weekend, and he gets a half day on Friday and Sunday off!
Have a great week

The Sydney Royal Easter Show 2014

My eldest brother and I went to the Royal Easter Show last week. I've been a couple of times, but it's always different. We went because we wanted to see the dogs on show and the farm animals. I took a few photos on my phone, so there aren't many and they aren't the best quality, but I still wanted to share :-)
The farmyard area was our favourite part as you could pat a million goats and sheep and also buy cups of food to feed them. It was so nice seeing all of the kids excited about animals. These sheep were standing on the gate and it made me laugh!
Little baby goats were my favourite! Look at his little hooves. Glenn and I kept trying to find animals that didn't already have 5 kids trying to feed them, it was difficult but we managed! So cute!
Glenn feeding a sheep - I think this one was the jerk who kept kicking smaller animals out of its way so it could get to the food haha
I love cows. They have the sweetest faces and seem so gentle. This one was big, but I think one of them was pregnant and holy crap she was GIGANTIC. I was surrounded by kids and didn't want to hog the area too long so I didn't get a chance to get a photo of her.
Check out this little guy!!! His little legs were so cute.
Our second favourite place was the dog area. There were HEAPS of dogs but the St Bernard's were my favourites. Look how cute this little guy is. He's only a puppy and pretty much bigger than Amos!
And then there was this one too! Look at how big his paws are! I just wanna smooch that face and let him slobber all over me. I love slobbery dogs (I love all dogs).
Glenn pretty much forced me to try cheese on a stick. It was disgusting, but in a delicious way?
And of course I got show bags! This one has six inside of it, so it was pretty good value. I also had to buy my niece and nephews bags and lugging them home on the train wasn't fun, but seeing their faces when they go through them will make it worth it!

Have a good day!

Friday Fancies

My Friday Fancies are a little light, I don't know why but I didn't find that many amazing things this week!
Deerface on etsy
Such a beautiful print
eBay
Not the best photo, but this zodiac bedspread looks like something
Sabrina the Teenage Witch would have in her bedroom!
City Chic
I love this dress from City Chic - I have no idea where I would wear it, but I'd figure it out!
ASOS
I really like this denim jacket. Soon it will be too cold but it would be nice for the
transition between seasons!

Alexandra Cooks
I want this in and around my mouth

The rest of my favourites are from parts of my week. Firstly I finally watched Death Proof this week, a film I've been meaning to see for a while. I like Tarantino films but there's just something a little off about him and he creeps me out. However, I am a fan of Rosario Dawson. And I loved the ending!
 Such a babe

And my final favourite was the Sydney Royal Easter Show! I went yesterday with my eldest brother and we patted lots of animals and ate cheese on a stick. I also bought so many show bags (I offered to get some for my niece and nephews...and I had to come home with at least one for me!) so now my arms are sore. I took photos on my iPhone and might share some next week if they look OK!
Have a great weekend!

Easter Decor 2014

Good morning! I am a big fan of decorating the house for different celebrations, so I thought I would share my Easter decorations today! I haven't got many (unlike my house at Christmas!), but I am still happy with them.
I bought this basket from the Reject Shop for a couple of bucks and filled it with shredded pink paper to hold up the bunnies. I bought the Lindt carrots because I thought they would look cute (and they do!).
I also got this at the Reject Shop for $2! It's so cute!
And the only other thing I have is this jar that I added some sparkly washi tape too and filled with Easter eggs. I also have another bunny standing with it.

So there are only a few bits and pieces, but they still make me smile and you can't go wrong with chocolate! I also had a little chicken that I put with the jar of eggs....
but as you can see Violet took a liking to it!

If you celebrate Easter, I hope you have a nice time with your family and friends. If you don't celebrate Easter, I hope you have a nice 4 day weekend!

About Me

Hello! Thank you for checking out my blog! My name's Megan and I'm 30 years old and I live in the Blue Mountains in Australia with my 3 cats! I own my own small business (I'm a pet sitter!) and work part-time at an animal facility (24/7 animals, OK).

I consider myself a total nerd, I love reading fantasy novels and comics, my favourite TV shows are Firefly, Buffy, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, and Law & Order SVU. I am obsessed with Jurassic Park (best movie ever) and I've watched it at least 40 times, and I am a Harry Potter lover to the core.

I am obsessed with snail mail, stationery, washi tape, polka dots,  PEZ dispensers, food, craft, and trying new things.

I created this blog as a way to share snippets of my life and to make new friends who might share my interests!!

Thank you for stopping by!

Daily Instax March 26 - April 8

It's that time again!
Violet playing + books I borrowed from the library
Amos and his digging + cupcakes I made in horrible light
I went to a high tea and my friend made cheesecake + nachos and The Walking Dead
Amos again (he's so cute) + where I stick my instax photos - they look great!
I made coconut balls (a recipe my Mum taught me that her Mum taught her!) + Noah still wearing his cone :'-(
This didn't turn out, but it was a photo of where Peach sliced my hand open! + Nathan insisted my photo be of his half shaven face? haha <3
Awesome mail, Frankie Mag and vinyl + Noah sleeping so I couldn't make the bed (he's so white he can't be seen in the daylight and the flash!)
Noah is much better, we went to the vet today and his urine is free of blood, yay! He still has to wear his cone and have a special diet but he's getting there. My poor little baby boy.

Have a wonderful day!
