My Favouirte Magazines

Today I thought I would share my favourite magazines. Most of these I subscribe to so I never miss an issue. I really like magazines, they are great for inspiration for my blog, house and life, and they are also great for photographs to use in my art journals!
First up is Real Living which is an awesome monthly home decor magazine.
Inside are lots of articles, but my favourites part is looking at pretty furniture that I can't afford!
Next up is Green Lifestyle, which is a bi-monthly magazine and as it says on the cover it is a magazine about simple sustainable living. It's really awesome for recipes, environmentally friendly home tips and goods. I really love it.
Awesome recipes! And I love the photography.
As I said in a previous post, I am obsessed with everything about dogs at the moment and I found a subscription to Dogs Life for only $30 and I couldn't say no! It's got some interesting articles but more importantly it is full of photos of cute dogs.
Awwww
Second to last is Peppermint, which is also an eco-friendly magazine full of home decor, fashion, beauty and lovely articles. I look forward to receiving my new issue every two months!
I adore the photography in this magazine, and the paper it's printed on it so nice to flick through.
Finally is Frankie, my absolute favourite magazine. It is a bi-monthly magazine stuffed full of fashion, articles, drawings, cute things, design, craft and a million other things. I love everything about Frankie!
I especially love the calendar you get in each issue which also has something lovely on the back. I think this snoozy peach fits in nicely with my blog!

What are your favourite magazines?

Daily Instax February 26 - March 11

Time again for my daily Instax photos - I actually took a couple in places that aren't my house - what's going on?!

A well balanced lunch includes a cupcake + watching Game of Thrones on a rainy day (started from season 1 again!)
Way too excited about our new fridge + cat socks
I won this from a skill tester! + a croissant that tasted better than the photo would have you believe
Took this very beautiful photo of myself *Fergies glamorous plays* + crafting with red stars
Once again my husband is an excellent cook +  the best juice EVER
I went out for lunch with my Mum and she insisted that she hold up her salad for my photo - she's adorable + 16 pies and 8 sausage rolls (a place half an hour from us makes the best vegetarian pies so we stock up and freeze them for lazy nights)
Peach lounging, I like that her white feet stand out in this photo + Amos chewing in the yard
I am really proud of myself, only one photo of a cat and one of Amos! The last two weeks were pretty good and I am so glad it's stopped raining and I can sometimes feel an Autumn-ish breeze!
Have a good one

February Spotty Box Review

Since we got Amos, I've been a tiny bit obsessed with dog websites, blogs, photos and anything that Amos might like. I discovered that there are a few dog subscription boxes in Australia and started researching them to decide which one looked like the best. I settled on Spottybox. I signed up for a 6 month subscription, which reduced the cost from $39 p/m to $29 p/m. I received the first box and thought I would review it for anyone who might be interested!
Inside the box was this pretty pink paper and Spottybox sticker.
All of the goodies.
The toy is this cute squeaky boomerang from Hey Pup!
Some beef training twists and minty dental chew bones  from Huds and Toke.
And these chewy and crunchy treats also from Huds and Toke.
I showed him the boomerang and he got all excited and planted his butt on the ground knowing that when he does that I will throw the toy. He leapt away and started chewing and making it squeak <3
He was looking wary, I think he thought I was going to take it away haha!
He dropped the toy so he could eat one of the minty chews - he loved it!

All in all, I am really glad I subscribed to Spottybox! I looked up the products online and I definitely got my $29 worth, and they even donate 20% of their profits to dog shelters! The treats should hopefully last for a bit which means less trips to Pet Barn (where I am tempted to buy a million things for him and the cats), and the main thing is Amos enjoys it!

I can't wait to see what next months box contains!

Friday Fancies

Hello! I've had a pretty good week that was full of rain and cats peeing on stuff. I hope your week was a bit better! Here are some things I found!
ASOS Curve
I have a dress of a similar cut to this, also from ASOS but I am in love with this colour
Syndrome on Storenvy
This donut bag would go perfectly with that dress!
ponyponypeoplepeople on etsy
And one of these brooches would go well with it too
City Chic
Possibly with this coat over the top (I need an excuse to buy this coat OK!)
In My Sunday Best
I don't share other peoples outfits too often (if ever?!) on my Friday fancies, but this combo of pink jeans and a fluffy white top was just too perfect. This is one of my new favourite fashion blogs too, Sade is just absolutely gorgeous with great style! Check out her blog right now!
Shaken Together Life
I love succulents as they are pretty hard to kill (unless you're me), so these felt ones are really appealing to me. I want to make a few to sit on a window sill (my cats eat real plants)
Society6
This speaks to me on so many levels
WashiTapeLove
I would stick these everywhere
CupcakeSocial
Dinosaur sprinkles!! :-o

And that's everything! Have an awesome weekend.

Four Goals for March

I cannot believe that it's March. I do this every year, I think because February is so short I feel like we missed a part of it! At the beginning of February I did a Four Goals post, and I ended up nearly doing everything I wanted to do. I organised part of my office, started training Amos, read one of the books I wanted (better than none) and we hung our giant wedding canvas up!

I love it so much!

Now for my March goals

1. Work on this blog and start making it more personal.
I bought the template for this blog on etsy. I love the colour scheme, however I want to change my profile picture and make it bigger, I want a better About Me section and I want to add a part on the side for my latest instagram photos. I am not very good at working all of these things out, I already followed a guide to add the instagram photos and it didn't work! I also want to add links to my favourite bloggers and I am also thinking about sponsoring a blog or two. It's not that I want a million people reading this, but a couple more people commenting would be awesome - I would love to make more friends :-)

2. Spend a day in Katoomba
I love Katoomba, and it's only 40 minutes drive from where I live. There are awesome vintage stores there, and some great op-shops, so I need to spend a day by myself  to take my time rummaging. Plus, I can stop at Leura on the way home and buy some vegan cupcakes from Rubyfruit!
My photo of the Three Sisters I took a few years ago in Katoomba
3. Start making photo albums
I placed a huge Snapfish order recently (their prints are so cheap!) of around 5 million wedding photos (plus a hilarious gift for my Mum who kept making fun of the posed photos my photographer took - I got the photo she laughed at most printed on a mug for her! Haha). We got a lovely album from my old colleagues as a wedding gift, so I will have to make the hard decision of which photos are worthy of it and start sticking them in. I also bought an album for my instagram photos I got printed which I still haven't started!

 4. Start introducing Amos to the cats a bit more
This is really important. I want Amos to be able to potter around the house with me and snooze on the couch with us in the evening, however at the moment when I bring him inside he has a big crate that he lays down in so that the cats can see him and he can see them but he can't get to them. He's very excitable and he really just wants to play with them. He sticks his butt up in the air and wiggles it around but the cats just hiss and run away! I hope they get used to each other.

So those are my goals, hopefully I can achieve them all. Do you have any goals for March?

Instagram Recap February 2014

I cannot stop laughing at Noah's face (h+ Violet in what she assumed was her new bed <3
I left some shopping bags out and came home and they were all over the house and we couldn't find one of them (we later found it under our bed?) + my first photo of Amos
DYING because of both of these photos - what a goof
Possibly the most terrifying photo of Noah ever, it was the first time he saw Amos through our window + snoozy boy
Violet got scared when Noah ran at her + the best moustache ever!
Playing with Violet + me when I was maybe 11 with our dog Bella in my old dolls bed - she was a good dog
My Mum when she was younger with one of her many cats + soft fluffy little legs
February was pretty good, but I am so excited that Summer is nearly finished. It's cooled down a lot but I think we might have a few more warm days before the amazing Autumn weather kicks in.

Have a wonderful day!
