Happiness Planner

I recently discovered the Happiness Planner, and it sounded so good I decided to purchase one. Here is what they say on their website.

The Happiness Planner is planner that focuses on happiness, positive thinking, mindfulness, self-awareness, and self-improvement. It is designed to help you welcome more positivity, joy, and happiness into your life and become a happier and more positive person as a result.

This definitely sounded like something I needed, and so far I've really enjoyed writing in it everyday.

I bought the pink one, they also sell them in blue or black. Inside you answer a few questions about yourself and write about what makes you happy, and what you want to change. Then each week you fill out a section about what you want to accomplish that week, and then fill in the pages every single day with your schedule, to do list, exercises, inspiring thoughts, ideas, and notes about the day.

I might do an update of this one day to let you know how I went with it. You can purchase one from The Happiness Planner site, or in Australia from Resident GP (when they get more stock).

Do you have one of these or something similar?
Take care

My Inspiration Board

I have a big cork board above my desk where I stick photos or stuff that inspires me. I decided to share some pics of it!
Here's everything on my wall. As you can see I love putting stuff on it! My whole office makes me smile, I've surrounded myself in things that I love so the whole room makes me happy!
A close up. I have one of my Dads old police patches that I kept from when he retired. And a bunch of little bits and pieces.
A photo set of Nathan and I, the drawing Lucy Knisley drew for me, and things from pen pals.
Photos of friends and I, patches, more things from pen pals!
OK I could have taken a better photo that included that whole drawing by oldfamiliarway! Here I have my friend Nicole, my Grandma, Mum, and my Dad years and years ago with our old cat Joe. <3
The photo of my Grandma is my favourite of anyone ever, so I may do a blog post just about her and share a better photo of it. She was a crazy cat lady!

Do you have an inspiration board? What kind of things do you stick to it?

My Favouirte Magazines

Today I thought I would share my favourite magazines. Most of these I subscribe to so I never miss an issue. I really like magazines, they are great for inspiration for my blog, house and life, and they are also great for photographs to use in my art journals!
First up is Real Living which is an awesome monthly home decor magazine.
Inside are lots of articles, but my favourites part is looking at pretty furniture that I can't afford!
Next up is Green Lifestyle, which is a bi-monthly magazine and as it says on the cover it is a magazine about simple sustainable living. It's really awesome for recipes, environmentally friendly home tips and goods. I really love it.
Awesome recipes! And I love the photography.
As I said in a previous post, I am obsessed with everything about dogs at the moment and I found a subscription to Dogs Life for only $30 and I couldn't say no! It's got some interesting articles but more importantly it is full of photos of cute dogs.
Awwww
Second to last is Peppermint, which is also an eco-friendly magazine full of home decor, fashion, beauty and lovely articles. I look forward to receiving my new issue every two months!
I adore the photography in this magazine, and the paper it's printed on it so nice to flick through.
Finally is Frankie, my absolute favourite magazine. It is a bi-monthly magazine stuffed full of fashion, articles, drawings, cute things, design, craft and a million other things. I love everything about Frankie!
I especially love the calendar you get in each issue which also has something lovely on the back. I think this snoozy peach fits in nicely with my blog!

What are your favourite magazines?

Cork Board Inspiration

I was looking at cork boards online to try to find one that was large enough and wasn't too expensive. I couldn't find one, but then I went to the Reject Shop with my Mum yesterday and I found the perfect size cork board for only $12! I'm going to replace the tiny one I have now after I paint the new one and I am so excited, I've been looking at other peoples cork boards and inspiration boards!
The Dainty Squid
Kaylah from the Dainty Squid is my favourite blogger, I've been reading her blog for years. Just like pretty much everything else in her home, her cork board is amazing. I love the little bunting at the top!
Geninne's Art Blog
I love the little string at the top of this to peg things on to, and the birds are so gorgeous.
Modern Girl Blitz
The two separate cork boards have some pretty neat things stuck to them, and the tiny little shelves are just so cute!
Paper & Stitch
I thought these cork vases were just too cool not to show - a great way to show flowers and to pin stuff!
Modcloth
These cork boards from Modcloth are so cute! Also where is the pug meet up, I want to go to there.
eBay
I think that these googly eye pins would be the perfect addition to any cork board!

So that's all for now. I love these kind of posts on other peoples blogs and thought it might be cool to do one of my own. Have an amazing day

My Inspirations: Martha Stewart

Martha Stewart is a big inspiration for me. Now, I know what most people think of when it comes to Martha Stewart but to be honest I am not worried about that, I like to focus more on all the awesome things she does!

She's a smart woman, who cares for animals and runs a highly successful business! She has her own lines of homeware, crafting items, house paint and even houses themselves (and more!)! Plus her magazines Martha Stewart Living and Martha Stewart Weddings are both fantasic.

Her pets are the cutest!

Sharkey & Francesca

Here she is with her Chow Chow Ghengis Khan. He's so fluffy!
She also has several cats
And donkeys! Not to mention heaps of other animals on her farm

She inspires me to bake more and to cook delicious food, she inspires me to craft and to make my home as beautiful as it possibly can be. I really admire her and she is one of my biggest inspirations!
