365 Crafting Time Days 1 - 14

As I wrote about a couple of weeks ago, I decided to take part in the crafting challenge created by Moments to Live For, where you try to create something everyday for a year! Here's how I went for the first 14 days. 

Making envelopes + testing out new watercolours

Stamping paper + making my own hair ties

Very slowly crocheting + my first ever pom pom!

Making cards for the first time + stamping envelopes

Prettying up something + making a list

More crochet, I am very slow haha + origami cat and heart - a new hobby for sure!

One of the things I hope to achieve with this is to improve my skills with the crafts I enjoy. I love to paint, crochet, and to makes pages in art journals, so I hope I become better at these things and it's a great way to try things that I've been meaning to have a go at!

I missed two days because one of my best friends visited me for the weekend and we were having way too much fun laughing and exploring!

Daily Instax September 24 - October 7

Another fortnight has passed so it's time for my daily instax update!

Haha oh Violet + rain streaming down my street

A lovely parcel from a pen pal + Noah with my toy alpaca really made me laugh!

Tried to take a photo of Amos but it was too dark + a loaf of Noah

Aww + our mulberry tree is flourishing and I've eaten a few ripe ones off it, so good

Babies + the little cat tower I put together

My friend Louise visited and we played Monopoly! + she's always copying Noah

Perfect timing haha + I love this tinsel bat so I decorated for Halloween :-)

Snail Mail Kit

My friend recently joined a pen pal group that I am a member of, so I decided to put together a little kit for her of some things she will need!

In my kit I included

• 2 writing pads
• 3 different colours of envelopes 
• some pens
• stickers
• washi tape (duh) 
• and of course, stamps - global and Australian!

The things don't need to be expensive, you can find really cute stuff at $2 shops, grocery stores, and newsagents. I put everything in this cute box with some tissue paper. My friend really liked it and I know she will get use of it, especially since I will probably write to her all the time!

I had such a great week! Nothing in particular happened that made it great, but I just felt so inspired and it felt good. I have a few new blog posts brewing in my brain so I hope to get them ready and get this place on track to what I want it to be. 

One of my besties is coming over on Saturday and we are going to watch all the movies we loved when we were teenagers and I assume I will be laughing all weekend! I hope you have a great one!

365 Day Crafting Challenge

I was on Olya Schmidt's blog recently and she mentioned Sabine from Moments to Live For had made herself a challenge to make something every single day for a whole year. I am currently trying to be more creative as it is something I enjoy and it makes me feel really good, so I have decided to join in!

Every single day I will paint, crochet, make stationery, do something in my art journal, or just create anything I feel like. I will also be using the Collect app (it's free!) to track my progress, and I also like the idea of sharing on my blog for accountability, and also just because it's fun!

Will you be joining in? It's such a great idea and I am really excited to start tomorrow!
